About The Brink

The Brink has allways been a working class mans band with music driven by guitars and a love of a good wide mix in the music.

Brink Birth

The Brink formed up many years ago with Tony Taylor, David Borchers, Chuck Wansing and Kevin Kane. They played just about anywhere they could and soon cut thier first album.Tony and David went on thier diffrent ways Kevin and Chuck continued on and got John Suddith and Jeff Free/Paulic to fill in thier spots this gave way to the second album from the band. With a big change in the bands sound and direction .

Johnny and Jeff played many shows as the bands popularity grew, but with the increase in its fan base more and more shows where booked Johnny and Jeff being in college had to make a choice. They left the band and stayed in college. Chuck and Kevin then got Jimmy DeAngelo on drums and after playing with a couple other guitarist they hired Brian Frost for lead and the band started touring more than ever. playing up to 28 days out of 30 some of the bands best shows came during this time period. But finally it ended with kevin calling a halt to the band and every one went their seprate ways.

History Chuck played with his band Shadowed Fate, then went to music school in L.A. at MIT. After a few years he returned started running the Chez When Bar in Sedalia. Kevin Got married and had a slew of kids messed around playing music and wrote some some tunes and some songs with Pete but nothing serious.Jimmy Lived in Annehiem Ca. played in bands there, Johnny played in his band Dead Lock and made several more c.d.s with various bands. Brian Frost kept playing and played in a few bands.

Still Something to Say Kevin Missed his former Band mates and the Brink. So one day he decied to call up Chuck and said " There is still more to be said ; lets get the band back together" Chuck being busy raising his family and running his bar the Chez When said that sounded good. They decied to see how that sat with Johnny and he said sounded good to him so then Kevin talked to Brian Frost and he said it was fine too.

Little Red Shed Studios Finally having a place big enough Kevin decied to make a studio a project he had allways planned with Rob Moller the Brinks sound man who passed away in 1994 . Kevin started the project converting an old barn into a recording studio. It was a much more massive project than he realised taking much longer and costing a bit more than he planned. But in the end The Little Red Shed Studio is a 24bit 192 mhz recording studio with a control room a 11.5 X 27ft. main room a smaller 11 X 11.5ft. room and a 8 X 9ft. iso/drum room.

Third Brink C.D. The Band will start working on thier third C.D. as soon as The Little Red Shed is finished. Some work has allready been started with Brian and Kevin writting some songs together for it. Every one in the Band will add to the music making it even more wide ranging than thier last two.
